Gwangju 5·18
Since 2018, CMW Master's students have been working with their counterparts at Dong-Eui University in Busan, South Korea, to produce interactive documentaries exploring the legacy of the 5.18 Democratization Movement. This historic event, a key milestone in the process of building South Korea's young democracy, took place in the spring of 1980 in the city of Gwangju, in the south-west of the Korean peninsula.
